Overview
ArnEQ is an Android audio utility by Arn1ko Studio. It lets users manage equalizer presets, bass boost, supported sound effects, volume controls, background mode, and a home screen widget on their device.
Single purpose
ArnEQ's purpose is to help users adjust and control audio on their Android device. The app is not designed to collect personal profiles, monitor user activity, or provide unrelated services.
Data collection
ArnEQ does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data with the developer or third parties.
The current release does not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, crash reporting SDKs, user accounts, cloud sync, or a custom backend for user data.
Data stored on the device
ArnEQ stores app settings locally on the user's device using Android SharedPreferences. This may include:
- Selected sound profile and equalizer band values.
- Bass boost strength and sound effect toggles.
- App language, theme, and current app state.
- Background mode and service state needed for app controls.
- An optional cached update configuration, if that feature is enabled for a build.
This information is kept on the device and is not sent to Arn1ko Studio. Users can remove it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.
Audio processing
ArnEQ applies supported Android audio and system volume settings locally on the device. The app does not record microphone input, upload audio streams, or send processed audio to Arn1ko Studio.
The availability and behavior of individual effects may vary by device manufacturer, Android version, firmware, and system audio implementation.
Permissions used

Background mode and widget
When the user enables background mode, ArnEQ may run a media playback foreground service and display a persistent notification so the active sound profile can remain available while the app is in the background. The home screen widget provides quick start and stop controls.
Users can disable background mode at any time. The notification and service are not used to collect personal data.
Optional update checks and external links
A build may be configured to request a small remote JSON document containing version and update instructions. This feature is disabled when no update configuration URL is supplied. The update document is not intended to contain personal data, and a copy may be cached locally so the app can evaluate a required update.
If an update is required, ArnEQ may open Google Play or another URL provided by the update configuration when the user chooses the update action. Those external services are operated under their own policies.
Third-party services
ArnEQ does not currently connect to third-party services for user data processing. Android system services, Google Play, device manufacturers, hosting providers, or external pages opened by the user may process technical information under their own privacy policies.
Advertising, analytics, and accounts
The current release contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash reporting SDK, sign-in flow, user account, or cloud synchronization. If advertising, analytics, accounts, or other data-processing services are added in a future release, this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before that release.
Data sharing
Arn1ko Studio does not sell, rent, or share ArnEQ user data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or unrelated purposes. The app's local settings and audio state are not transmitted to the developer.
Data deletion and user controls
Users can change or reset settings inside the app, disable background mode, clear the app's data in Android settings, or uninstall ArnEQ. Clearing app data or uninstalling the app removes locally stored ArnEQ settings. The current release does not maintain a user account or server-side personal-data profile that requires an account deletion request.
Security and device responsibility
ArnEQ is designed to keep its settings and audio processing on the device and to avoid unnecessary data collection. No software, device, network, or download channel can be guaranteed to be completely risk-free. Users should keep Android, Google Play, and their device security software up to date and install ArnEQ from an official source.
Children's privacy
ArnEQ is a general-purpose utility app and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when ArnEQ features, permissions, update behavior, hosting, or Google Play requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
