This Privacy Policy explains how ArnSip (the “App”) handles information.
ArnSip has no developer-operated backend, advertising, analytics, trackers, or telemetry. The ArnSip developer does not receive or store your SIP credentials, local call history, dialed addresses, or call audio.
Information stored on your device
ArnSip stores the following information locally on your device so that the App can provide its features:
- SIP account settings, such as the server address, username, display name, authentication details, and calling preferences;
- SIP account passwords, protected using the device’s secure encrypted storage;
- local call history, which may include a SIP address or phone number, display name, call direction, date and time, duration, and call result;
- App preferences; and
- a randomly generated installation identifier used to distinguish this installation from another device using the same SIP account. This identifier is not created from your Android ID, IMEI, advertising ID, or another hardware identifier.
App-data backup is disabled. This information is not uploaded to servers operated by the ArnSip developer.
Network communication required for SIP calls
ArnSip must communicate with the SIP provider that you configure in order to register your account and make or receive calls. Depending on your provider and its configuration, this communication may include:
- SIP account and authentication data;
- SIP addresses or phone numbers;
- SIP signaling and technical call metadata;
- network connection information; and
- call audio.
This information is sent only as required to provide SIP calling through your selected SIP provider, the other call participant, and any network services or relays used by that provider. It is not sent to servers operated by the ArnSip developer. Your SIP provider’s privacy policy and data-retention practices apply to information handled by that provider.
The confidentiality of SIP signaling and audio in transit depends on the transport settings you select and the security features supported by your SIP provider.
Permissions
ArnSip may request the following permissions:
- Microphone: to transmit your voice during calls;
- Notifications and background operation: to display incoming and active calls and maintain SIP registration;
- Bluetooth: to use supported headsets; and
- Network access: to register with your SIP provider and make or receive calls.
ArnSip does not request access to your contacts, camera, precise location, photos, or files.
Sharing and sale of information
The ArnSip developer does not sell, rent, or share your personal information. Data exchanged directly with your chosen SIP provider and call participants is necessary to provide the calling functionality you request and is governed by the relevant provider’s terms and privacy policy.
Data retention and deletion
Local SIP account information and call history remain on your device until you delete them in the App, clear the App’s data, or uninstall ArnSip. The ArnSip developer cannot access, recover, or delete this local information remotely because ArnSip has no developer-operated account or backend service.
Any information retained by your SIP provider is controlled by that provider and must be managed through the provider directly.
Children’s privacy
ArnSip is not directed to children. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-operated servers because it does not use such servers.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when ArnSip’s features or legal requirements change. The revised version will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
